Once again Mike Quinn, of Hazen, goes about stating things that need a response. There are plenty of restrictions on gun ownership and many are to keep deranged people from purchasing guns, but they must be enforced.

Quinn asks how many signs with bullet holes have I seen? Several, but can we please agree that it is illegal to shoot or deface said signs, so we can agree that bad people do not follow laws and regulations that law-abiding people follow.

I own rural property outside of Mandan and have been the victim of vandals, and that is what these individuals truly are. I have had garbage dumped on my property and had to clean up after some slob who felt he had the right to use my property illegally, and there was no gun involved. We have laws that prohibit dumping garbage in wilderness areas and on private property, but bad guys do bad things and please, do not tell me that only gun owners are the cause of this vandalizing of public and private property.

Quinn keeps stressing that unrestricted access to guns is a problem, but perhaps he should make himself aware of the laws that are in effect and he will see that there are plenty of restrictions on gun purchases. Perhaps Quinn could explain how you stop bad guys from doing bad things, we have laws against the things he rants about and they do not seem to stop the bad guys.

No Quinn, I do not have a Second Amendment right to kill a stop sign, I just have a Second Amendment right.
