If you have not done so please read the Sept. 14 Tribune, Page B3.
Burleigh County is considering (we all know what that means) a 10.17 increase in its portion of your tax bill. If you live in Bismarck or Burleigh County 7.81 percent. Please go to the meeting on Sept. 28 at the City/County Building, Tom Baker Room, at 6 p.m. and make your feelings known.
If you can't make it contact the commissioners -- they all have email on the county website. Remember we were told, you will still have tax relief after the state dropped the 12 percent tax property tax credit. This is only what the county is asking for -- does not include, city, parks, or schools.
Unless I missed a day in math class, this is not how to reduce taxes. We are being taxed out of our homes. When is this going to end?? Where is the relief? When is the last time you got a 10.17 raise??
