Members of the North Dakota Peace Officer Standards and Training Board voted Wednesday to restore a former Tioga police officer's peace officer's license.
Former Tioga Police Officer Monique Lopez was acquitted of theft at trial last month after being accused of pocketing more than $5,000 from a police department account.
Pending her criminal case outcome, the POST Board had suspended her peace officer's license.
Board members voted 6-2 that she did not violate the peace officer code of conduct, with Grand Forks County Commissioner Tom Falck and Eddy County Sheriff Paul Lies dissenting.
The board also voted identically to rescind her license suspension for reactivation.
