BOISE, Idaho (AP) - A federal judge has ordered another delay in the federal death penalty case of convicted kidnapper and murderer Joseph Duncan III.
U.S. District Judge Edward Lodge told potential jurors Monday that they should contact the court July 30 for details on how the case will proceed.
It's the latest delay since the sentencing phase of the case was suspended in May to determine whether Duncan was competent to serve as his own lawyer.
Duncan pleaded guilty to 10 counts in December related to the 2005 kidnapping of Dylan and Shasta Groene and the slaying of Dylan. The children were snatched from their Coeur d'Alene home and taken to Montana where they were abused. Before his arrest, Duncan lived in Fargo.
