GF complex has bedbug outbreak
GRAND FORKS (AP) - The Grand Forks Housing Authority is working to control an outbreak of bedbugs at an apartment complex.
The housing authority oversees 76 apartments at the Cherry Heights complex that are designed primarily for people older than 62.
Director Terry Hanson says pest control officials are debugging the building. He says some residents may have to relocate for a short time.
Health officials say the reddish brown, flat bedbugs are more of a nuisance and are not known to carry disease.
The National Pest Management Association has had reports of bedbug problems in every state.
