Woman is killed in truck collision

NEW ROCKFORD (AP) - The Highway Patrol says a minivan collided with a semi heading to a gravel pit in Eddy County, killing the minivan driver.

The 36-year-old Sykeston woman was identified as Kristeen Richter.

Authorities say the minivan failed to yield at an intersection Thursday afternoon and struck the semi, which then jackknifed, leaving the minivan stuck between the cab and the trailer.

The patrol says both vehicles went into the ditch. It happened at the intersection of state Highway 15 and a county road.

The semi driver, 56-year-old Mark Anderson of Grace City, was treated and released.
