BOTTINEAU (AP) - A car went into a ditch, hit a field approach and rolled end-over-end, killing the 84-year-old driver after she was thrown from the vehicle, authorities say.

The victim was identified as Elva McIntosh of Bottineau. The patrol said she died at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, along state Highway 5, about four miles east of Bottineau.

McIntosh was pronounced dead at an area hospital, authorities said.
