FARGO (AP) - Cass County deputies are investigating the theft of a spool of copper wire from a Prairie Public Television tower site near Amenia, northwest of Fargo.
Authorities said the spool is worth about $18,000.
Thefts of copper wire have been reported nationwide due to recent high copper prices. Thieves typically try to sell the stolen goods to scrap yards.
