SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - Add car loans to the list of payments that South Dakota and North Dakota consumers are making on time.
Credit reporting agency TransUnion said the 60-day auto delinquency rate nationally in the first quarter of the year rose to 0.83 percent, up from 0.65 percent in the same period last year.
South Dakota and North Dakota had the fewest delinquent auto loans, at 0.34 and 0.35 percent, respectively.
TransUnion said the Dakotas also were among the states with the lowest delinquency rate on home mortgage payments and credit card payments from January through March.
