GROTON, S.D. (AP) - Authorities say no one was hurt in a barn fire and propane tank explosion on a farm near Groton in northeastern South Dakota.
But Groton Fire Chief Dion Bahr says the barn burned down, along with equipment inside, and the blast of the 500-gallon propane tank melted some siding on a nearby house, broke windows and knocked items off walls.
The cause of the Monday afternoon fire at the Rex Sippel farm is still being investigated.
