FARGO (AP) - Lawsuits are in the works over a September bridge collapse in Lisbon.
City Attorney Randy Bakke has been advised that there are potential claims against the city by construction workers who were injured when the wooden walking bridge fell into the Sheyenne River.
The five men were standing on the bridge during a break from a nearby paving job.
An investigation into the cause of the collapse is done, but results have not been released because of the pending legal action.
Meanwhile, city officials are hoping to get grant money to rebuild the bridge by next summer.
