Climate change bill is worrisome

Let's see, about 93 percent of the electrical energy used in North Dakota at this time is generated by coal-fired power plants. Under the climate change bill passed by the U.S. House, this energy is evil. This bill was about 1,000 pages long, but another 300 pages were added at the last minute. It passed, 219 aye to 212 nay. The Speaker of the House brought out the big guns lobbying for passage of the bill by passing out chocolates and having the former vice president call undecided representatives.

I have some questions. 1.) If this bill becomes law, what is contained in the 1,300 pages of legislation? 2.) What is it going to cost? 3.) Did all 431 representatives read the entire bill and know what they were voting for? 4.) Is this legislation allowed by the Constitution?

As a rational adult, this legislation scares me. It was passed quickly with little debate allowed. Any dissent about the causes of climate change (once global warming) is met with intolerance and scorn. We are told not to worry about the costs that may come because the benefits will be worth it. Really! I'm not so sure.

By the way, Ican predict change, too. Sometime next December or January, it will blizzard and the temperature will fall below zero and we are going to need those evil coal-fired power plants to keep warm.
