The opening of the Nishu Bowmen Indoor Complex, an indoor archery range in Bismarck, deserves a positive note here. The new building came about through the efforts of the Nishu Bowman, North Dakota Game and Fish Department and the Bismarck Parks and Recreation Department.
It was driven forward by the work of members of the Nishu Bowmen.
The complex represents the kind of public partnering that can get things done. We've seen it in softball and swimming, as well as by other recreational and cultural interests in the Bismarck-Mandan area.
The archery club is in the third year of a five-year plan for the development of the complex. The well-organized group has and continues to make a commitment to the project.
The development of the archery complex also reminds us of the diverse interests in our community. People have an amazing number of interests, deep enough so as to make significant efforts in order to enjoy those interests.
The Nishu Bowmen and partners have done good work.
