Elaine Zimbelman

Elaine F. Zimbelman, 79, Bismarck, rose to meet the heavenly angels while in care at the Missouri Slope Care Center on March 2, 2018. She had a long fight with multiple illnesses, with one being her diagnoses with lung cancer at Christmas time, she just couldn’t fight any longer. A visitation to give her your love and wishes will be Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bismarck Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, March 9, at the Bismarck Funeral Home. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.

Elaine was born July 30, 1938, in Minot, to the late Hans and Elsie Hanson. She was the youngest of three daughters, two of which preceded her death. Elaine was raised and educated in Ellendale. At age 18 she met the love of her life, Milton (Bud) Zimbelman, who she married and had two daughters with. They were married and then lived on the family farm. Later they moved to Bismarck, where they raised their family. There they ran a dispatch office for Barrett MHT. They then together owned and operated Buds Mobile Home Transport, and Zimbelman Auction Co. until they retired. Elaine had many talents which included her beautiful ceramics, crocheted blankets, handmade cards and baskets, which she put her whole heart and love into each one.

She was survived by her childhood sweetheart and husband of 62 years, Milton "Bud" Zimbelman; two daughters, Debbie Dennison, Connie (Marc) Berger; their six grandchildren, Satina (Nathan) Tolman, Kimberly (Brandon) Schmidt, Crystal (Joshua) Ova, Holly (William) Hubbard, Rebecca Dennison, and Elsie Berger; 13 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Tatiana, Benjamin, Makella, Andrew, Carter, Rylee, Ryder, Braelynn, Jaxon, Asher, Isabella, and Hailee; and one great-great-grandchild, Faith. And their little pup, Heidi. Many numerous loved ones and friends who will miss her very much.

Elaine was greeted at Heaven’s gate by her parents; her sisters; and her son-in-law, Steven Dennison; and her only grandson, Christopher Dennison.
