Brandon William Lafrenz, 33, Bismarck, passed away Nov. 11, 2017, at his residence. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at Evangel Assembly, Bismarck, with The Rev. Harley Holden officiating. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Visitation is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. today, with a prayer service beginning at 7 p.m. at DaWise-Perry Funeral Services, Mandan. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Brandon was born Jan. 10, 1984, in Bismarck, to Paul Lafrenz and Conni Meier. He was raised and educated in Bismarck, graduating from Bismarck High School in 2002. After high school, Brandon joined the U.S. Army, serving one tour in Afghanistan, remaining active in the reserves, and was a civilian military employee. He loved his dogs, Lily and Scooter, and riding his Harley and jet skis. Brandon enjoyed watching the Vikings and spending time with family and friends. He had a smile and laughter that was contagious, especially with his pranks and jokes.
He is survived by his wife, Alisha, Bismarck; parents, Paul (Donna) Lafrenz, and Conni Meier and Dale Miller, all of Bismarck; two sisters, Ramie (Jonathan) Sprenger, Billings, Mont., and Natasha Lafrenz, Mandan; one brother, Travis Lafrenz, Minot; grandparent, Delores (Frank) Johanson; nine nieces and nephews, Kaden, Brooklyn, Taylor, Jordyn, Sydney, Danyka, Dahlya, Tryska, and Tegyn; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends.
Brandon was preceded in death by grandparents, Patricia and William Lafrenz, Michael Meier Jr.; uncle, Gary Lafrenz; and aunt Yvonne Cossette.
