Beverly Willer, 89, Mandan, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at Sunset Drive - a Prospera Community, Mandan. Funeral Services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Beverly was born June 1, 1928, in Fordville, to Ben and Lila (Hagness) Skibicki. She was raised and educated in Fordville, where she graduated from Fordville High School and then attended Valley City State College. On May 6, 1948, she married Lyle Willer of Fordville at Conway. Beverly became a rural school teacher and taught in rural schoolhouses outside of Fordville and Grafton. Bev also was the librarian for the Grafton Public Schools and the City Library. She enjoyed reading, knitting and playing cards. Once retired, Bev and Lyle enjoyed spending their winters in Meza, Ariz. and their summers in Van Hook on the shores of Lake Sakakawea.
She is survived by her daughter Diane (Dennis) Barton, Gainesville, Ga.; son Lon (Geri Anne) Willer, Sidney, Mont.; sister Betty Lou Nelson, Fargo; brother Bernard (Patricia) Skibicki, Bismarck; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lyle in 2014.
