The Seventh Annual Bismarck Tobacco Prevention Youth Summit will be held from 9:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Ramkota Hotel in Bismarck.

Those attending will learn about the harmful health effects of secondhand smoke, smoke-free environments, raising tobacco product prices with taxes and starting tobacco-free school policies.

The program will focus on teaching the teens how to educate their peers about tobacco, how to influence decision makers and how to lower tobacco use.

Amanda Mortensen, project coordinator for No Limits, Nebraska’s first youth-led tobacco prevention movement, will be the keynote speaker.
