A 15-year-old Bismarck girl was killed and two other teens were injured in a one-vehicle crash shortly after 8 a.m. Sunday morning, three miles south of Mandan on N.D. Highway 1806, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.
The unidentified girl who was killed was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.
The Highway Patrol reports that driver Cinnamon Marie Arpan, 16, of Bismarck was traveling north on N.D. Highway 1806 from Fort Yates toward Mandan when she lost control of the four-door 1988 Mercury Sable. The vehicle entered the ditch and struck three round hay bales on the driver’s side and went through a fence before coming to rest in a pasture.
Arpan was injured and transported to St. Alexius in Bismarck by ambulance. A second passenger, Patrick Vivier, 15, of Rollette, was also injured in the incident, and transported by ambulance to Sanford Health.
The crash remains under investigation
