“Spanish Song and Dance” will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday at the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck. This free all-Spanish program will be presented by the University of Mary Vocal Arts Ensemble under the direction of Katherine Henjum.
The all-Spanish song repertoire will include works by Obradors, de Falla and Granados. Energizing rhythms will be brought to life by a percussion trio under the direction of Lucas Bernier, director of percussion studies at the University of Mary. Everaldo Martinez, University of Mary director of strings and concertmaster of the Bismarck-Mandan Symphony Orchestra, will perform his own composition for solo violin.
