Birds in flight dot the sky as a flock lifts off from a sunflower field in Morton County on Sunday morning. Many migrating bird species are now grouping together as colder weather signals the return to a warmer habitat.

A frost advisory has been issued for North Dakota for Monday night through Tuesday morning.

The coldest temperature in the western half of the state on Monday was 18 degrees near Hannover. Bismarck and area dropped to 31 degrees.
