The Mandan School Board on Monday officially approved a change in elementary school boundaries that were finalized last month.

The change came with Twin City Estates, a mobile home area that was originally split between Roosevelt and Red Trail elementary schools. Now students in that area will go to Red Trail, the new school opening for the next school year.

The boundaries were changed with the addition of Red Trail for this fall. The full map can be seen at mandan.k12.nd.us.

The board also adopted a timeline for the 2014 school board election. The deadline for candidates to file will be April 7. The election will take place June 10.

The terms of board members Lee Fleischer, Donna Fishbeck, Sheldon Wolf and Jay Volk are up this year. None has yet announced whether they will run again.
