Metro Ambulance staff revived a young man from a heroin overdose Friday night in Bismarck.
Sgt. Mark Buschena said police responded around 8:30 p.m. Friday to the 2900 block of North 19th Street. A 20-year-old Fessenden man was unconscious on the ground, left there by a man in a vehicle but accompanied by the woman who made the call to 911.
The man had knocked on her door earlier for her to come to his vehicle where the overdosed man was, Buschena said. They got in and drove to a 19th Street gas station where they pulled the overdosed man out on the ground before the driver left.
The woman reportedly said the man had probably ingested heroin, which he confirmed after regaining consciousness from Naloxone, Buschena said.
He then went to the hospital for further treatment.
