PROVIDED

District of North Dakota Chief Judge Daniel Hovland sentenced 73-year-old Lonnie Dale Spotted Bear Wednesday to 30 years in federal prison with lifetime supervised release.

The Twin Buttes man was convicted at trial this fall of multiple child molestation offenses, related to sexual abuse of three girls less than 12 over a five-year time frame.

Spotted Bear also reportedly attempted to influence or intimidate the girls' guardians.

The FBI investigated the case, which Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan O'Konek prosecuted.
