Another man has been charged with hauling many pounds of marijuana on the interstate highway through Bismarck.
Allen Clark, 37, of San Pedro, Calif., faces felony possession with intent to manufacture or deliver 500 grams or more of marijuana. North Dakota Highway Patrol stopped him Tuesday morning on Interstate 94 in Bismarck for a traffic violation.
A probable cause search of his vehicle reportedly yielded $49,000 worth of marijuana packaged in two containers weighing 30 pounds total.
Clark is held at the Burleigh-Morton County Detention Center, pending $5,000 cash bond. He must remain in North Dakota and only leave with written permission.
Another man, 71-year-old Harold Miller, is serving time in state prison for a similar crime from last summer, when a traffic stop on I-94 found 183 pounds of marijuana in his car.
