Acting on a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Bismarck Police apprehended a teenage boy for child pornography.

Bismarck Police Sgt. Mark Buschena said officers executed a search warrant Wednesday on a 16-year-old Bismarck boy's phone, allegedly finding 30 images of pornography depicting children ages 4 to 14.

The boy was cited for Class C felony possession of certain materials prohibited. The cyber tip to police stemmed from his alleged uploading of a child porn image to his cloud account in October.

Buschena said Bismarck Police receive about six to 10 cyber tips annually from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
