Trespassers into animal exhibits at a Bismarck zoo have police looking for the people who reportedly filmed while petting monkeys and camels in Snapchat videos.
Sgt. Mark Buschena said the Dakota Zoo's director reported the incident Thursday, after learning of the Snapchats via email. The videos reportedly showed two adults and a small child going around barriers and petting monkeys and camels at noon Sept. 1.
The zoo has signs noting that going past barriers is trespassing and will be prosecuted, Buschena said.
The case is open with no arrests. Charges could include criminal trespass but will be determined by a city attorney, Buschena added.
