Three months after he began a 20-year sentence for a felony sex crime, a Bismarck man is charged with a similar offense allegedly committed prior to the one for which he is serving time.
Andres Moses Renteria, 23, was charged Thursday with a Class AA felony count of gross sexual imposition.
In December, he was charged with three counts of the same, two of which were dismissed in March. He pleaded guilty to one of the charges in June.
Judge John Grinsteiner sentenced him to 20 years in prison with 10 years supervised probation upon release, to register as a sex offender and to complete various evaluations and programs while incarcerated.
A warrant went out Thursday for Renteria's arrest on the newer charge, related to a sex act he allegedly forced on a woman in June 2016.
His current sentence is set to end in June 2037.
He faces life in prison without parole on the newer charge.
