A 17-year-old Dickinson boy was killed in a wreck Thursday morning.

Adam Horack, 17, was killed after he ran a red light at the intersection of 15th Street North and Third Avenue West at 6:10 a.m. Thursday, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Horack was driving a 1999 Pontiac southbound on Third Avenue West when he ran the stoplight. A westbound 2006 Hummer, driven by 52-year-old Catherine Riddick of Dickinson, struck the Pontiac. The crash pushed the Pontiac into a 2008 Ford pickup driven by 35-year-old John Barrett of Westminster, Colo.

Riddick, who was wearing a seat belt, was not injured. Barrett, who also was wearing a seat belt, had minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph’s Hospital for evaluation. Horack, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
