After his arrest for smashing a census worker's laptop, a Bismarck man is accused of threatening to be a police officer's "judge, jury and executioner."

Timothy Caldwell Smith, 54, is charged with felony terrorizing against an adult and criminal mischief from the events of Sunday afternoon.

He reportedly invited the census worker into his apartment on the 1000 block of East Avenue D. He allegedly grabbed her laptop and threw it to the floor, where it shattered.

Smith, who was taken to the Burleigh-Morton County Detention Center, has a preliminary hearing set for Nov. 27.
