BISMARCK, N.D. — A man pulled a knife on a loss prevention officer at Herberger's on Sunday afternoon when the officer was trying to apprehend the man's female accomplice.

The officer was attempting to intercept the woman, who was shoplifting cologne and two jackets, when two men stepped in front of him, Bismarck Police Officer Pat Renz said.

The officer got around the men and caught up to the woman outside the store, Renz said. The two men then confronted him and one pulled out a pocket knife and pointed it toward the officer.

He let the woman go, but kept the two jackets in his possession, and the three fled on foot, Renz said.

There are no leads on the three suspects.
