One man was injured after a road rage incident Wednesday night in Bismarck.

Sgt. Mark Buschena said a 25-year-old Bismarck man slammed on his brakes when another man in a red SUV began tailgating him while westbound on the 2600 block of East Divide Avenue.

The alleged assailant then pulled up alongside the other man, yelling and swearing, before both men exchanged words and exited their vehicles. The SUV driver punched the man in the nose and drove away.

The victim asked for ambulance attention for his bloody nose.

Buschena said the suspect is unknown.
