Three months after he allegedly attacked a nurse and spat on another, a criminal summons is active for the man accused in the matter.
Gary Collen, 29, of Bismarck, is charged with a Class C felony count of simple assault on fire or emergency personnel. Court documents say in June he punched an emergency room nurse in the chest after becoming verbally and physically aggressive in a triage room.
He also reportedly punched one of her arms, grabbed one of her breasts and kicked her left leg multiple times as she tried to leave the room.
Another nurse stepped in to remove Collen to another room. Court documents say Collen spat in his face as he tried to move Collen to a bed.
Collen was reportedly a patient at Sanford Medical Center then. It's unclear why.
He was charged Monday for the June 18 incident.
