Pending further investigation, the Burleigh County State's Attorney's Office has dismissed charges against a Bismarck man accused of credit card skimming.

David Willie Jr., 27, was arrested Tuesday on five felony charges of unlawful use of personal identifying information related to allegations of him using a credit card skimmer to create cards and buy cartons of cigarettes from gas stations and grocery stores.

Sgt. Mark Gaddis, of Bismarck Police, said he couldn't share details of the investigation.

"I really can't get into it. It's still an ongoing investigation," he said. "It's ongoing. We're still investigating. We found some information out that we got to the state's attorney's office."

Willie was set for an Oct. 30 preliminary hearing, which appeared to still be scheduled as of Friday evening.
