Two McDonald's restaurants in Bismarck reportedly received phone calls from a man saying lives were in danger and he had guns.

Bismarck Police Officer Pat Renz said the manager of the McDonald's on Burnt Boat Drive reported the call from a blocked number about 4:40 p.m. Tuesday. A man with a Southern accent who sounded as if in his upper 20s reportedly told the manager to evacuate the store with the deposit and that lives were in danger.

The man also said he was watching the store, didn't want to hurt anyone and had guns. The manager then hung up, but the caller phoned again and said it's not a prank and to do what he says, according to Renz.

"That's the gist of it," Renz said.

Another McDonald's in Bismarck also received a similar call, Renz said. Police have no leads on the caller.
