A Bismarck man is accused of injuring a 3-month-old girl and wiping potential evidence from his cell phone.

Andrew James Glasser, 32, is charged with felony counts of child abuse and tampering with evidence. Court documents say the infant had sustained injuries to her ribs, femurs, tibia and fibula, which were healing, when she was admitted to a local hospital on Oct. 17.

Glasser reportedly told police that a month ago he had pushed the infant's legs to her stomach to relieve gas when he heard a pop and the girl began to cry. A doctor disputed that account to police.

Police asked for Glasser's cell phone, which they later learned had been manually reset after an officer's phone call about an interview.

Glasser's preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 4.

If convicted, his charges are punishable by up to 15 years in prison.
