The results of a forensic audit suggest that the total sum allegedly embezzled by a Watford City woman continues to swell.

On Thursday, Watford City Park Board president Justin Johnsrud said the audit by Eide Bailly found $138,946.67 from the park district "appropriated, without authorization" by Hannah Lloyd from March 2016 to October 2017.

"The transactions were accounted within the Park District's QuickBooks accounting software by indicating payments were to other individuals or businesses," Johnsrud said, adding that day-to-day park operations "have not been affected."

"Some of the Park District's future plans have been put on hold until the matter is resolved," he said.

Lloyd, 38, is charged with three felony counts each of theft and forgery. Police have alleged she funneled more than $57,000 from the Watford City Park District, about $50,000 from the Watford City Golf Course and over $56,000 from Rink Construction from April 2016 to November 2017 while she was an employee of a local accounting firm with access to accounts and payment information.

She is held at the McKenzie County Correctional Facility.
