Charged with five felony counts of unauthorized use of personal identifying information, a Bismarck man allegedly created credit cards to buy many cartons of cigarettes, according to police.
Bismarck Police arrested David K. Willie Jr., 27, Tuesday for the alleged crimes. Police say he used a credit card skimmer to gain information and create new cards.
He then allegedly used those cards to buy large quantities of cigarettes in cartons from gas stations and grocery stores.
Willie is held on $1,000 cash bond at the Burleigh Morton County Detention Center.
Police reported that investigators suspect other, similar purchases may have been made by Willie.
