The fourth annual Community Fit Fair, slated for 4 to 7 p.m. Sept. 6, will take place in a new location: the MDU Resources Community Bowl.
The Community Fit Fair was developed in an effort to raise awareness of the wellness organizations available, focus on promoting overall wellness and provide an opportunity for military members to reconnect with the community.
New this year is a military-inspired obstacle course for participants ages 5 and older, which replaces the competitive Army Physical Fitness Test from years past. The adult individual and team obstacle courses will challenge athletes in completing nearly 20 military-inspired obstacles. Individuals will compete against their personal goals, while teams of five will compete against each other.
The Youth Bootcamp will offer a high-energy military-themed obstacle course where youth can run, jump, low crawl and lift.
Registration is open for the adult and youth obstacle courses. For more information, call 701-333-3265.
