The Bismarck Tribune will not publish on Christmas Day so employees can spend the holiday with their families.
“Most businesses close for Christmas and allow their employees time with their family. So we decided we should do the same for our employees and carriers,” said Publisher Gary Adkisson.
“Christmas morning is a magical time for children and we do not want the moms and dads (and grandparents) who work for us to miss out on a minute of it,” he added.
“Readers may still go to our website to read breaking news, but we hope you take time to reflect on the meaning of Christmas and enjoy your family and we will be back Tuesday.”
The Tuesday Tribune will include the comics for both Monday and Tuesday. The Monday bridge column and crossword puzzles also will publish on Tuesday. Obituaries that normally publish on Monday can be found online.
