Mike Schwartz will not seek re-election to the Bismarck Park Board, after serving two terms.

“I feel it’s time to let others bring their insight and vision to the board,” he said, noting he will continue to serve on the city’s planning and zoning commission.

Schwartz said he’s grateful to the park board and staff for their commitment to making the Bismarck Park and Recreational District “one of the finest in the region.”

“Bismarck residents have access to phenomenal facilities and programs. They deserve nothing less,” he said. “I send my sincere thanks to the citizens of Bismarck for their trust, which allowed me to serve on the board. It's been an honor to do so.”

The four-year terms of park board members Julie Jeske and Jason Starck also expire this year. Election Day is June 12.
