Julie Jeske will seek re-election to the Bismarck Parks and Recreation District Board of Commissioners.
Jeske, a private banking officer, was first elected to the board in 2010.
During her two terms on the board, the park district has seen continued growth and development. At last year’s National Recreation and Park Association Congress, BPRD has honored with the highest and most prestigious award attainable by a park and recreation agency: the 2017 Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management. BPRD was named one of the four finalists for the award the prior year.
Other district accomplishments include several new neighborhood parks, trails and the recent completion of the Capital Ice Project, which provided Bismarck with an additional ice arena.
