First responders answered a fire call in Bismarck Sunday night that involved a trailer converted into a food truck.

Bismarck Police Sgt. Mark Buschena said officers responded for a fire assist around 7 p.m. Sunday to a home on the 1500 block of North 14th Street.

A box trailer parked on the lawn had heavy smoke emitting from its top, just 5 feet from the home.

The trailer had been converted into a food truck with electronic equipment and stoves inside.

The owner reportedly said the trailer was plugged into the house, hadn't been used in a week and no one had been in or out in that time.

The Bismarck Fire Department extinguished the fire, which caused about $5,000 in damages to the trailer.

No one was injured, Buschena said. The fire's cause is unknown.
