Morris Brickle-Hicks' defense rested Thursday morning without calling a single witness.

The defense rested a day after the prosecution did. Closing arguments are scheduled to take place at 1 p.m. today.

Brickle-Hicks, 34, is accused of fatally assaulting Misty Coffelt, 40, behind a Bismarck farm goods store in April 2016.
