Bismarck Art and Galleries Association has received a $10,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts that aims to extend its reach to underserved populations.
The Bismarck Art and Galleries Association received the Challenge America grant, which provides support projects for people whose opportunities to experience the arts are limited by geography, ethnicity, economics or disability, according to a news release.
The project will include two workshops led by artist Dick Termes for Bismarck and Mandan high school students. Termes' work, "Termespheres," also will be on exhibit at the University of Mary and Bismarck State College art galleries.
A larger exhibit will be on display at BAGA, 422 E. Front Ave., from March 6 to April 20. There will be a reception on March 6 at BAGA, with a presentation by Termes at 5 p.m.
