Four people were sent to a local hospital for smoke inhalation Friday afternoon. Bismarck Rural Fire was called to 1600 112th St. N.E. about 4:20 p.m. because the house was filling with smoke.
Five people were home, including two adults and three children. The children and one adult were taken to a local hospital, said Bismarck Rural firefighter Casey Rogstad.
The names and ages of the residents were not available. Neither Medcenter One nor St. Alexius Medical Center could confirm if the four people were taken there.
The fire is under investigation.
When the firefighters responded, there was smoke in the home, and it appeared to have started in the kitchen, Rogstad said.
