Medora - The Billings County Historical Society will hold its monthly meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Billings County Courthouse museum in Medora. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Bowman - A grand opening concert at the new multipurpose building at the Bowman County fairgrounds will be held starting at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 25. The event will feature 32 Below in concert, a Texas Hold'em tournament and steak dinner. Cost of all events is $125. Concert tickets are $10.

Strasburg - The Beaver Valley Horse Club will hold its annual membership banquet and dance starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Blue Room in Strasburg. Directors will be elected and everyone is welcome.

Beach - The annual meeting of the Golden Valley Manor at Beach will be held at 4 p.m. Nov. 21 at the manor. Board members whose terms expire are Joann Smith and Darrel Oech. Elgin - Flu shots are for kids, too, and Custer District Health will administer them to kids ages 6 months to 18 years, starting at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Elgin Community Center council room. An $8 donation is suggested.

Mott - The Mott Lions Club will sponsor a free diabetes screening from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the county health office in Mott. People who want to be screened should fast after midnight and will be served juice and muffins after their test.

KIDDER

Steele - Steele's 13th annual Winterfest will be held Dec. 2, to coincide with the first week of the Advent season. The day will include a Christmas craft and food booth at the community center, horse-drawn carriage rides, scavenger hunt and variety show and the annual parade of lights at dusk. Residents are asked to participate in the community's outdoor lighting contest, with prizes for best displays.

Napoleon - The Logan County Farmers Union will hold its annual convention starting with supper at 7 p.m. Nov. 20 at The Downtowner restaurant in Napoleon. Farmers Union youth coordinator Amber Hill will be guest speaker.

Ashley - Thomas Wellin, conductor and violinist whose program features the travels and music of Thomas Jefferson, will perform at 10 a.m. Friday at the Ashley Public School. The program is sponsored by the Ashley Women's Club and the public is welcome. Funding comes from the North Dakota Humanities Council. Also, the Wishek Hospital Clinic Association will hold its annual meeting at 8 p.m. Thursday at the Wishek Civic Center. Directors will be elected, with four terms expiring.

Watford City - The second annual Wine and Food Festival will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8 Nov. 25 at the Long X Trading Post in Watford City. The $25 event benefits the McKenzie County Healthcare Systems. For information, call 842-4606. Also, the grand opening of a new $6.8 million bank and entertainment complex on Watford City's Main Street will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday. All-day tours will conclude with a 5 p.m. ribbon cutting ceremony.

Hebron - All area veterans and widows are invited to a stew supper to be served at 6 tonight by the American Legion Henry Biffert Post 100 at the Brick City Senior Center in Hebron. The event is for Veterans Day and local members are asked to bring food to share.

New Town - A craft and bake sale sponsored by area churches will be held from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Building at the senior center in New Town. Lunch will be served and door prizes awarded. County Friends will host the event.
