Several groups are offering songs and treats for Valentine's Day. The events are:

3 Valentine balloon bouquets weighed down by a box of chocolate or a stuffed animal are available for $12 plus tax. The bouquet price includes delivery.

The proceeds will benefit HIT Inc., a local organization that supports people with disabilities.

3 Bismarck-Mandan Sweet Adelines are hosting a Valentine-themed dinner show - "Hugs, Kisses and Other Mushy Stuff" - which will start at 6 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Bismarck Municipal Country Club.

The evening will include a classic barbershop sing-along with soloists Carol Kurtz and Bill Franke. There also will be some poetry readings, choice of chicken or beef for supper, more music between courses, songs with a valentine or love theme, and dessert.

The meal will be catered by Lady J's Catering and tickets are $20.

Tickets are available at the Chesak Seed House, 220 N. 23rd St., and at the Ben Franklin store in Arrowhead Plaza Shopping Center, 1118 N. Third St., or by calling Bonnie at 223-6063.

3 A local Sweet Adelines quartet, "Classic Blend," is offering singing valentines to be performed on Feb. 14.

The cost is $30 for three songs, a mug with sweets and a stuffed puppy in it. The quartet will travel anywhere in the Bismarck-Mandan area.

3 Northern Lights Chorus members can be bought. They will serenade someone with two songs, deliver a rose, box of candy and a card for $35.

For another $5, they will videotape the moment.

The chorus is one of more than 800 chapters of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America.
