Hettinger - Hettinger will celebrate its July Fourth celebration with a steak fry at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Mirror Lake Park and continue at Mirror Lake Park on Saturday, with events including a free noon meal, children's games, karaoke and fireworks starting at 10 p.m. There's an "America the Beautiful" main parade downtown at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Dunn Center - The Dunn County Historical Society will hold its annual July Fourth potluck picnic at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Dunn Center City Park. Beverages will provided. Call 548-8111.

EMMONS

Linton - The Linton/Emmons Flood Recovery Task Force will hold a public meeting at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Emmons County Memorial Auditorium. Residents will get an update on recovery efforts and information about home buyouts and relocation. Several officials, including Gov. John Hoeven, will be present. Also, the Linton Industrial Development Corp. will hold its annual meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Linton Community Center. Everyone is welcome to supper and to hear a progress report.

GOLDEN VALLEY

Beach - The Radio Stars, a live variety concert with fiddle, steel guitar, harmonica and vocals, will perform at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Bijou Show House in Beach. Tickets are $7.50 in advance and $10 at the door, and children will be admitted at no charge. Call 872-2444 for information or to order advance tickets.

Mott - The Mott Visionary Committee will serve a light supper of "burgers in the park" Tuesday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Mott. It's also the last chancge to purchase raffle tickets for a grand prize of an Arctic Cat ATV. Cost for the meal is $6 for adults and $4 for children.

Regent - Regent will gather for the July Fourth celebration with Indian tacos served from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Cannonball Saloon with picnicking and gathering at the "slab" until dusk, when the Regent fire department will put on a fireworks display.

Napoleon - A financial and business debriefing of Napoleon's recent 125th anniversary will be held at 7:30 tonight at the Napoleon City Hall. Chairman Marvin Lang invites anyone interested to attend for a recap of the event and discussion on income and expenses.

Ashley - A new dental office in Ashley will hold a grand opening from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at 112 Fifth St. N.E. Everyone is invited for prize drawings and office tours. Also, Ashley's Chamber of Commerce is planning a full day of activities on July Fourth, including games for kids, musical entertainment and a fireworks display at dusk.

Watford City - McKenzie County will sponsor an appreciation dinner July 7 for all McKenzie County emergency responders, including fire, ambulance and law enforcement personnel and their spouses starting with 5 p.m. registration, followed by golfing and dinner. Parshall - The Three Affiliated Tribes 200-plus Home Initiative will begin with a groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at the Parshall Bay subdivision at Parshall. Chairman Marcus Levings will perform the welcome and the public is invited.

STANDING ROCK SIOUX RESERVATION

Sitting Bull - The Boys and Girls Club of Grand River on the reservation, along with the Tribal Historic Preservation Office, will hold a second annual Sitting Bull Youth Culture Camp on July 14-17.
