All drivers can attend a course to improve their driving skills on Jan. 12. The defensive driving course will be conducted from 6 to 10 p.m. by the North Dakota Safety Council Inc. at 1640 Burnt Boat Drive in Bismarck.

Participants completing the course can receive a three-point reduction on their present driving record.

Another benefit is an insurance discount. Contact your local insurance agency and see what type of discount they will give you for completing the course. The discount is good for a two-year period.
