FARGO, N.D. (AP) - North Dakota airline passengers joined others around the country in repacking their bags and downing beverages after word of new restrictions in the wake of a foiled terrorist plot.
Signs were posted in airports Thursday morning, telling air travelers that liquids in their carryon luggage were banned.
Mollie Crawford, who heads the federal Transportation Security Administration in Fargo, said officials were trying to keep passenger lines moving as quickly as possible.
Richard Owen, flying home to Florida from Fargo, said he felt more secure.
"I guess I just feel pretty good about it that they foiled it, but I'm sorry I don't get water or coffee," Owen said.
Passengers in Fargo seemed to be taking the new rules early Thursday, and flights were on time.
Northwest Airlines suggested that customers consider checking all their luggage to minimize delays at airport security checkpoints, and allow extra time before their flights.
